The journey
So how did it begin 21 years ago? Steven and Nick were Uni friends who felt fundamentally that the current EPoS used by hospitality businesses was not fit for purpose. They had a single aim – to develop and deliver innovative EPoS solutions and tools, all backed up by outstanding support and project delivery.
They knew that for an EPoS to be truly effective it could not be a stand-alone product but rather, it needed to be part of a technology ecosystem which offered enterprise-level software to manage all areas of the business from FOH restaurant management to BOH kitchen and stock management to reporting. Finally, layered upon this tech stack was the need for an open platform EPoS that could integrate with all the numerous ‘best of breed’ third-party software used by operators.
Only an EPoS that could facilitate this complete ecosystem functionally and act as a central and integrated platform would really allow hospitality operators to excel by reaching a new level of efficiency and productivity. Enter, pointOne EPoS and the rest is history! Or rather 21 years of innovation, industry awards and happy customers ensued.

Steven and Nick have been privileged to work with some fantastic people along the way to help them realise their aim so, as is customary on anniversaries, we’d like to give out our own anniversary thank yous in no particular order:

- And finally to our fantastic customers who have sustained and inspired us over 21 years of trading. We are lucky enough to work with customers from a wide variety of hospitality sectors and you all help us to improve and iterate our offering with your input and support.
Steven and Nick and all the team at pointOne feel very grateful and proud to work within the hospitality sector as it truly is one of the most vibrant and supportive areas you can work. We all look forward to what the next 21 years will bring and if the past 21 years are anything to go by, it will be chock full of innovation, inspiration and reward.
